The purpose of RoboGrads is to:
- Represent the interests of the students participating in the Robotics PhD program (Robotics students)
- Provide a forum for Robotics students to discuss the progress and development of the program
- Promote the recruitment of new students and facilitate a smooth transition into the program
- Sponsor social events to engage Robotics students in a non-academic setting
- Disseminate accurate and up-to-date student-specific information about the program
- Liaise with other Robotics organizations to provide a relevant network for Robotics students
- Give opportunities for service in the community using principles learned in the program
